Well hand-tied hair extensions are the least damaging hair extensions out there, in our professional opinion!
Not to mention low maintenance, fast to install (about 3+ hours), natural-looking, and lightweight!
These extensions are great for all hair types, from thick to thin hair and are even customizable to the exact look you are looking for.
There are a few different techniques used for hand-tied hair extensions.
Here at Beautify Salon and Spa, the wefts are added to your hair by beading and then hand-tying the wefts to your natural hair.
Typically, with our starting price of $200 for the initial install, in which you will receive 2 rows with a mini row, and each row has 2-3 wefts. This will vary person to person, depending on your natural hair and how thick it might be already.
Hand-tied hair extensions also last a relatively long time compared to other types of extensions. You will need to get your extensions moved up every 8-ish weeks, depending on your natural growth.
When it is time for you to come in again, you will get the rows moved up for $160 rather than having to purchase new hair each time!

Sew-In Hair Extensions
Also known as weave extensions, sew-in extensions consist of a Beautify stylist braiding your hair into cornrows along the scalp, then using a needle and thread to sew in the tracks of hair extensions to the braids.
This type of hair extension is typically made from human hair, which means that they are great quality and very delicate!
Typically, with our starting price of $250 for the initial install will vary person to person, depending on your natural hair and how thick it might be already.
Sew-In hair extensions are most commonly used on people with thicker hair because of the tight application method.
The braiding often puts a strain on the scalp. Because of this, the extensions themselves can feel very heavy or uncomfortable, making it not the best option for thin or lighter hair.
As well, sew-in hair extension installation is a very long process, lasting four or more hours!
Sew-in hair extensions are popular because the extensions are permanent and seamless, as the hair is literally sewn into your own hair and can’t come off!
You will need to remove and replace your extensions every 6 to 8 weeks, depending on your natural growth.
It is also recommended that the maximum amount of time you should have a full weave in your hair is 4 months so as not to affect your natural hair’s growth.

Tape-In Hair Extensions
Another popular type of hair extensions are tape-in hair extensions.
The extensions are thin wefts of hair that are “taped-in” in between your own hair in “sandwich” like bonds.; they are applied with a tool that heats up the glue.
This process usually takes approximately 40 minutes – 1 hour to apply and if the extensions are in good condition, they can be re-used.
Tape-in extensions are the least permanent of these extension options we’ve talked about. You would need to have tape-in extensions removed and then reinstalled every 4-6 weeks and the hair is even reusable!

Beaded Sewn-In Hair Extensions
Beaded sewn-in extensions are also known as micro-link hair extensions, micro-bead hair extensions, or micro-loop hair extensions.
This is where small wefts of hair are attached to small sections of your own hair with a micro silicone-lined bead, for long term hair extensions.
Then, a special tool is used to secure the bead to the hair and tightened to hold it in place.
There’s no glue, heat, chemicals or tape involved!
The beaded sewn-in extension installation process typically takes about 2 to 4 hours to apply and if the extensions are in good condition, they can even be re-used!
You will need to remove and replace your extensions every 4 months or so, depending on your natural growth!
